Multiple Sclerosis Society

All Car Leasing are pleased to be partners with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and we will offer the customer the choice to donate £10 of our arrangement fee to the MS-society or Children with Cancer.

But what is Multiple Sclerosis?

MS affects 100,000 of us in the UK and sufferers are usually diagnosed with the debilitating disease between the ages of 20-40 years old.

The disease is irreversible and is caused by a combination of genes that make people more susceptible to the illness.

Scientists have found that there are higher instances of MS in populations which live further away from the equator and is almost unheard of in places like Equador or Malayasia, however a reason for this has yet to be decided.

One very famous person who contracted MS at an early age but who has learned to live with the disease is Sir Stephen Hawking, the creator of the theory of relativity within space. This honourable man has lost most of his ability to move or speak, but has a handy speach device which enables him to communicate along with his special mobility chair.

But, not all who suffer with MS have access to these exceptional aids. As you can imagine it must be extremely depressing and upsetting to witness your body deplete in strength and coordination before your own eyes, and to have to get help to do simple tasks like dressing yourself.

These simple things are how you can help make a difference and bring an inner smile to somebody who may have lost the ability to do for themselves.

If this has struck one of your heart strings like it did with us, then please opt to donate £10 when ordering your new car, or visit the MS site where you have a range of options on how to help.
