After the announcement of the new Ford Fiesta interest in the performance Fiesta ST version was not far behind, the previous generation was immensely popular and the newest variation is no different. We get a lot of interest in our latest Ford Fiesta ST lease deals for personal car leasing and business car leasing so we've created this page to help those in search of one.
The Ford Fiesta has been immensely popular since its first inception with the fifth generation Fiesta (2003-2008). Many of the ST's fans have cited how the Fiesta ST perfectly blends hot hatch performance with every day economy. However, the Fiesta ST isn't perfect so here are some pros and cons to leasing a Ford Fiesta ST:
The Ford Fiesta ST is only available as a 3-door and a 5-door hatchback with a manual gearbox. The new engine has three modes which are normal, sport and track which adapts the cars performance to suit the activity - normal mode also allows the Fiesta ST to be driven 'normally' for greater efficiency on a day to day commute. However, turn on sport or track to experience the refined enhanced torque vectoring (ETV), electronic stability control (ESB) and the exclusive performance tuned chassis for an unrivalled, sporty driving experience.
Engine Performance and Economy
The new Fiesta ST engine is a three cylinder 6-speed manual. 1.5 EcoBoost engine instead of a 1.6 EcoBoost in the previous model. However, this does not mean the performance has been compromised (quite the opposite actually) as the new Fiesta ST boasts 200 break horse power (previous version was 179), a 0-62 mph acceleration of 6.5 (previous version had 6.7) seconds and a top speed of 144 mph.
As far as economy goes the new Fiesta ST has an urban mpg of 37.2, extra urban of 55.4 mpg and combined economy of 47.1 mpg which means the new Fiesta ST is just as economical as the previous version despite being more powerful and faster to match the previous ST200 edition! Wow.
The new Fiesta ST meets Euro Stage 6 emission standards.
Performance Bonuses and Handling
For the firs time in a Fiesta ST model, the new generation will have mechanical slip differential included in the performance pack variant. This allows the car to be even more responsive on the roads especially in wet or icy conditions. As if that wasn't enough, the new Fiesta ST has the Launch Control feature which allows you to set the maximum RPM for the engine so you can put your foot down from a stop position. On top of that there's also the performance shift light indicator to help you optimise your gear shifts.
Lease a Fiesta ST to get the very latest in car technology and comfort Ford offer. The new Fiestas come with Ford SYNC 3 technology which is now displayed on a rich 8" colour touchscreen. SYNC 3 allows the driver to stay connected to their phone, music and navigation (optional extra) seamlessly and with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto you can further enhance your digital experience. The popular Quickclear windscreen is back once again as is ambient lighting, automatic folding mirrors if you wanted,
You can also get an optional 2 panel panoramic roof and the electronic automatic temperature control to add even more comfort to your Fiesta ST lease if you wanted.
Bring some personalisation to your Fiesta ST with one of their available colours with some being colours only available for the ST. Please note that some colours are optional extras with an extra cost.
Choose from one of the exclusive ST alloy wheels to complete the look. Please note some alloys may be an optional extra.
The new Ford Fiesta ST is a triumph for Ford and shows that you can make a car better in every single department if you put your mind to it. The new Fiesta ST is more powerful, faster and has a much more refined and modern interior to suit any driver. Also, now that Ford offer the ST as a 5 door this opens up new possibilities for people who want more practicality in their hot hatchbacks.
The Fiesta ST has garnered many rivals during its time as one of the leading UK hot hatches. You can find a similar experience in vehicles such as the Skoda Octavia vRS, Peugeot 208 GTi, Renault Clio R.S, VW Golf GTD, Suzuki Swift Sport, Mini Cooper S and the Vauxhall Corsa VXR.
