More about Smart leasing:

Why lease a smart?

The smart brand is engineered with Mercedes-Benz and is famous for making teeny-weeny cars. The first smart fortwo rolled off the production line in 1998 and the brand started to grow and become established. The 2nd generation smart fortwo was released in 2007 and by 2008 the 1 millionth smart fortwo is built marking the brands 10th anniversary.

A gap in the market was realised by Nicolas Hayek (smart CEO) who saw the need and desire for the public to own and drive a small car which is perfect for built-up areas and narrow city streets. He essentially invented the city car/ super-mini sector of the market by creating smart cars.

So what's new this year?

Smart has teamed up with Brabus, the German high tech engineering company that take normal Mercedes cars and fine tune them into performance monsters. So you can imagine what they've achieved with a smart car and it's better than even we expected. The exterior features a more streamlined, sporty appearance and inside there are comfortable, leather sports seats and a chunky steering wheel featuring mounted controls. The Brabus logo is on the handbrake within the lining of the leather upholstery, along with stainless-steel accents which continue throughout the inside of the car. All the smart models have been included in Brabus's overhaul and the fortwo Cabrio and the forfour are the real highlights.

The brand has done well recently with their updated range designs and improved overall build, and it obviously shows as smart have just won City Car of the Year 2016 at the UK Car of the Year Awards for the smart forfour. This goes to show what a great range of cars smart has to offer.
