    Why lease a SEAT?

The company was launched in May 1950 and managed to sell 10,000 cars in its first year, even in a country with roughly 3.1 cars per 1000 residents. By 1968 SEAT had reached the '1 million cars produced' mark and by 1974 the 2 millionth car produced' benchmark was achieved resulting in the manufacturer being ranked 8th position amongst other European car manufacturers.

SEAT has been responsible for one of the most iconic hot-hatches on Britains' roads - the SEAT Leon Cupra R, which the prototype for was released in 2001, was developed by SEAT Sport. This is a car that was around £10,000 cheaper than a VW Golf V5, and it out-performed it too. It was quick, comfortable, economical, it gripped and handled well, had all the kit you needed and at £14,995 it was an absolute bargain, a true hot-hatch.

    So what's new this year?

The biggest release from SEAT this year is their brand new SUV Crossover - the eye-catching Ateca. It has already won AutoExpress's New Car of the Year 2016 award and it's quite easy to see why. Tech features include Full Link Technology which allows you to connect your smartphone to use audio streaming apps, as well as using the wireless mobile charger. The vehicle also features a top-view camera and park assist along with Intelligent Key. Safety features include Traffic jam assist with an emergency assist, blind spot detection and lane keeping assist and full LED headlights. You have a choice of a 1.0 litre, 115bhp Petrol engine, or, a 1.6 litre, 115bhp Diesel engine, both with a top speed of 114mph and 200Nm and 250Nm of torque respectively.

SEAT also released the latest version of their Alhambra people carrier this year which includes a number of clever updates and won it an award at the Tow Car Awards 2016. It also has SEATs Full Link technology which has relevant platforms depending on the type of smartphone you have whether Android or Apple and has features like park assist which controls the steering and neatly parks the car for you while you operate the pedals. What's more, there is 3-zone climate control, the option of three preset driving modes - Eco, normal and Sport, SEAT Media system plus with rear camera view and parking sensor visualisation.
