FAQ's

Total Care is an all in one lease vehicle solution provided by Arval. It provides you with an insured Contract Hire vehicle including all maintenance and breakdown cover for a fixed monthly rental fee.

Each person’s circumstances and needs are different when it comes to choosing a car lease deal. The same goes for finding the most suitable car lease deal with insurance and maintenance included. To ensure you are getting the best package available for your needs, give us a call on 01565 880 880, email sales@allcarleasing.co.uk or send an enquiry from any vehicle page.

Practically any vehicle on our site can be leased with Total Care, but there are some restrictions in special circumstances, such as:

  • Vehicles which aren’t cars or LCVs
  • Vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes
  • Vehicles which Arval do not own
  • Cherry Pickers
  • Ice Cream Vans
  • Left-hand drive vehicles
  • Vehicles with more than 8 seats for passengers

Apart from that, wherever you are in the UK, you will have a wide range of car leasing with insurance to choose from.

There are a couple of things that aren’t included in your Total Care Package. These include personal injury cover, legal expenses protection, personal belongings, loss of earnings cover and property damage (only cover for 3rd party property damage is included). This is because your cover is just against the lease car policy.

No. Arval (UK), who are the funder and owner of the car, is the policy holder on your behalf.

If you’ve taken out Personal Car Leasing, Total Care is generous with who can drive the vehicle. As long as the leaseholder is the main driver on the insurance, the driver's spouse or partner and immediate family members (parents, siblings, children) can drive the car as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

If you’ve taken out Business Car Leasing then any employee, employee’s spouse or partner and immediate family (parents, siblings, children) can drive the vehicle provided they meet the eligibility. However, we are not able to lease if the car will be used as a taxi, hired out etc.

The insurance provider at the time of writing for Total Care is AIG. The insurance cover will be in the name of Arval (UK).

If the car has been in an accident then it is the same as any other situation, you would need to get in touch with Arval (UK). Accident management is included in your package so you would need to contact Arval (UK) who will be able to take care of your vehicle and deal with any repairs that may be necessary, leaving you with one less thing to worry about.

In the event of an incident where you are at fault, you will be required to pay the CIC (customer incident charge). This will also apply if the funder is unable to recover costs from a third party involved in the incident. How much you will have to pay depends on the number of “at fault” incidents that have taken place while you have leased the vehicle. For more information about the specific charge please give us a call, as it is variable depending on the number of previous incidents etc.

The CIC is used to help cover the costs incurred due to an incident. If the repair costs are lower than the CIC, you will not be charged anything more than the cost to repair the vehicle.

Included in the maintenance package is regular servicing and maintenance such as MOTs. We can also arrange mobile fitters for problems such as exhausts, batteries, windscreens and tyres, even replacing tyres worn down naturally as well as punctures!

In the unlikely event that your vehicle is having problems and needs repairs, then your first port of call is to speak with your vehicles manufacturer's local dealership to get it repaired or the finance company who owns the car. We have a full breakdown of what to do if your vehicle breaks down in our guides.

Most main dealers will offer a courtesy vehicle whilst yours is being serviced or repaired, but if you can’t be without a vehicle, you can arrange a relief vehicle as an optional part of the contract, available after 24, 36 or 48 hours. Please note that the Total Care Package does not provide vehicle insurance for courtesy vehicles and this should be requested directly from the supplying dealer.

If you are unfortunate enough to have your vehicle stolen, you should contact Arval immediately with a police incident report number so the case can be looked into as soon as possible.

In the event of your vehicle being written off, much like if your vehicle is stolen, you will need to contact Avral immediately to notify them of the situation. Arval can then terminate your lease with no financial shortfall to you, leaving you free to discuss a replacement vehicle.

Yes! Total Care covers the driver for business use subject to trade usage detailed in the contract.

As with any type of car insurance, moving address could alter the cost of your Total Care package. Insurers take your postcode into account when they set the premiums for car insurance, so you should contact Arval UK immediately if you’re moving home. The change in address could alter your package amount to be higher or lower than the current premium dependent on whether the area you're moving into is deemed more or less ‘risky’ among other factors.

There are many different factors that effect the cost to insure your vehicle. Some examples of these are age, NCD, gender, power of vehicle. Insuring a car that is leased is usually slightly more expensive than if you owned the car.

Yes. Road tax is included in the lease price of a vehicle and spread across the monthly payments. You don't have to worry about taxing the vehicle as the finance company handles this.
