If you tuned in for yesterday’s post you’ll have seen that we’re getting excited about more new car releases than we can shake a stick at. After a few years of strong sales and increasing growth in the car industry, it seems all the manufacturers are at it – developing new cars for release this year, that is – and we’re taking a look at exactly what we can expect.
We’ve been excited about this one for a long time and rightly so too, due on sale in August with a starting price of around £22,000 is Audi’s smallest ever SUV, the Q2.
Forget everything you know about the Audi Q range
because the Q2 is nothing at all like its much larger siblings. Aimed at the younger market it’s brighter, funkier and chunkier than other models and the most customisable Audi we’ve ever seen.
The cabin is upmarket and full of gadgets while running costs remain low – perfect for younger buyers – expected to be released with a choice of a 2.0 TDI and 1.4 TFSI engines and with a huge, supercool options list, our favourite German brand have really met their target market on this one.

are keeping details very close to their chest on this one but the camo car has been out and it has been spotted. Said to be far more refined, its new construction will reduce weight and its two-wheel drive ability will vastly improve efficiency.
With an estimated starting price of £35,000 this rear-wheel-drive compact SUV will be capable of 60mpg+ thanks to an efficient 2.0 litre diesel engine. As always though, performance has been considered so you can expect the release of an M division relative at some point soon too.
It might not be the most attractive thing in the world but it’s most definitely practical. The Citroen SpaceTourer
, due on sale in August with a starting price of £23,000, is a van refined like an MPV.
With a choice of three body sizes and two wheelbases, there really is something for every need. Available in two specs – Feel and Business – it’s suitable for the large family, with five or nine seats available, and also for business users.
It’s not just a van though, inside it’s pretty well equipped and you’ll find individual chairs, touchscreen infotainment and even the latest Apple CarPlay
